LEADING in Chaos is designed to bring about a transformation in schools. It focuses on transforming the school leader and strategies that can be implemented to overcome challenges.

THE PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Identify challenges faced by them and their schools

  • Recognize the school as a complex chaotic system

  • Discover the reforms proposed by NEP 2019 in each of the seven domains

  • Understand the "pedagogical shift" required for transformation of a school,

  • Recognize their role as an "enabler"

  • Discover how to become a "pedagogical leader"

  • Learn to delegate using the urgency grid tool

  • Learn to frame SMART objectives and goals

  • Create their professional development plan (PDP)

  • Understand how to successfully lead change

  • Learn about the four leadership styles required for change

  • Discover the benefits of planning change based on school vision

  • Learn to develop a positive learning culture

  • Explore the ways to implement formative assessment

  • Discover ways to evaluate, mentor and coach teachers for their development

  • Study the research behind successfully developing students interests

  • Understand the importance of data in making decisions about the school

  • Learning to conduct 'self-review' of the school

  • Create a school development plan (SDP)

  • Understand how to implement 'high impact' technology interventions in the school  

KICK-OFF

WORKSHOP

The right start is the mark of a successful and enjoyable learning experience.

"LEADING in Chaos" begins with a 2-days workshop attended by all the participants. All participants are divided into 8 teams of 5 school leaders each. All the sessions of the workshop are highly interactive that require participants to engage in individual activities, team activities, and discussions.

The workshop timings are 9 AM to 5 PM. The flow of the workshop on each day is as follows

ICSL ECHO

eSESSIONS

Technology makes professional development accessible, affordable, and convenient.

The first initiative of its kind in India, ICSL has partnered with Project ECHO to enable school leaders to connect across geographies to find solutions to the "real" challenges they face in their schools.

 

All participants of LEADING in Chaos will connect once every fortnight for 6 eSessions of 90 minutes duration each. Each session consists of:

  • A 15 minute didactic presentation by an expert

  • Discussions on real case-studies presented by participants
